Showcasing some of Atherton Tablelands’ finest produce and farms to taste a select range of fine chocolates, cheeses, coffee, fruit, premium spirits and liqueurs. Hand feeding the rare Mareeba Unadorned Rock Wallabies, interacting with other wildlife. The scenic plateau of landscape, mountain ranges, waterfalls and unique volcanic crater lakes will open your mind to the diverse beauty in one region that you will experience in one day.

Enjoy the cooler climate while visiting a great plateau of landscapes from the savannah to the lush tropical rainforests. Interests include photography, bird watching, wildlife interaction, swimming and tasting some of Far North Queensland’s renowned produce with the opportunity to purchase.

DESTINATIONS WE VISIT

KURANDA & BARRON FALLS – A scenic tour of the iconic village in the rainforest and a viewing of the impressive Barron Falls gorge.

SKYBURY COFFEE & PAPAYA PLANTATION – One of Mareeba’s renowned sustainable agricultural farms. Enjoy morning tea and tastings of Skybury Coffee, and explore the plantation.

GRANITE GORGE – This an extraordinary opportunity to hand feed the rare Unadorned Rock Wallabies. Interact with native wildlife, explore the unique granite boulder formations and admire the stunning savannah views overlooking the Mareeba landscapes.

MT. UNCLE DISTILLERY – Tasting of premium spirits and liquors from Far North Queensland’s most awarded distillery. Explore the grounds surrounded by fruit trees and marvel at the menagerie of farm animals.

GALLOS DAIRYLAND – A fully operational dairy farm, a cafe-restaurant, a gourmet cheese factory and a hand-crafted chocolate outlet. During this hour, we enjoy the friendly hospitality of the staff serving a light lunch and a select range of Gallo’s cheeses and fine chocolates for tasting. Discover how cheese and chocolates are made and explore the retail outlet.

CURTAIN FIG TREE – Learn the history and life of this spectacular Curtain Fig. Vantage viewing points around this incredible work of nature for fantastic photo opportunities.

BROMFIELD CRATER SWAMP – A shallow crater of an extinct volcano home to a large population of the elegant long-legged water bird, the Sarus Cranes. An idyllic location for the avid birdwatcher.

MALANDA – Historic Dairy Town of Malanda to explore and wander through the Malanda Falls Conservation Park. The Malanda Visitors Centre for a detailed and interactive look at the region’s geological formations, the connection between country and culture, natural history and wildlife.

LAKE BARRINE AND LAKE EACHAM – Passing by the Narada Tea Farm, a popular stop to see a Lumholtzs Tree Kangaroo before arriving at Lake Barrine and Lake Eacham. A unique experience to immerse yourself in the tranquillity of these volcanic lakes surrounded by lush rainforests and fantastic birdlife. Afternoon refreshments, a swim, a nature walk, or pursuing your photographic interests are a perfect ending to the taste of the Tablelands.
